libdbd-xbase-perl software package provides Perl module to access xbase files (optionally through DBI), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdbd-xbase-perl
libdbd-xbase-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdbd-xbase-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdbd-xbase-perl *
You will get with libdbd-xbase-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
